German coastguard - or how to introduce yourself to an audience as a non-native speaker

by florian vogler ::  |
This is a great ad. Looking at it, it immediately reminded me of a video I use fairly often in presentations to introduce myself to the audience as a non-native speaker:
Note: even though the beginning may make the impression of a German video only, English visitors should keep watching as it "translates" just fine.

I am tempted to aver that my English isn't that bad ... anyone who disagrees please go post somewhere else :)

I laughed out loud and woke up the cat here in the US! I laughed so hard that all my sore parts (from hitting a tree while cross-country skiing yesterday) hurt even worse, but it was worth it!

Hi Mary Beth,

what an honor having you stop by - my best wishes for a speedy recovery!
